The best way to trade on Stellar...

Jun 02, 2022

Often we are asked how to get started trading on Stellar. Should we use Stellarx? StellarTerm, Lumenswap?

The best way is to run your own code

The trick with stellar is not to trade fast... But to trade slow. This allows you not to get killed by the Binance speed trading crowd. To do this though you need a bot that puts up orders and refreshes them on an schedule and uses a good feed for prices.

 You don't need Kelp

Kelp is a tool built by the Stellar foundation... it  is great. But... it is not flexible and hasn't kept up the times. For example it doesn't support Liquidity Pools.

But not only code!
I highly recommend some decent charting software like stellarport.io or lumenswap have. I like stellarterm but I don't like how they hide the history.
Albedo has a decent swap interface as does clpx.finance.

Whatever tool you use. Get started slowly
Start small and don't keep all your funds in one asset. Try and trade a circule like USDC -> USDS -> XLM -> USDC and then re-balance. Explore the stellar.expert market tab to find good markets to trade.
